"Not a Toy"- 3D FILM

ntoulapa.png

A short film created in 3D Blender inspired by one of the strongest identifiers of MOSCHINO , the "Teddy Bear".

The film, titled 'Not A Toy,' narrates a Christmas afternoon, when Jeremy Scott, the godfather of a child, visits the house to deliver his gift, a Moschino blouse. The boy joyfully takes the shirt and goes to his room to lie down. While he sleeps, the bear depicted on the shirt comes to life, transforming into a stuffed animal and attempting to escape from the house. The boy hears a noise emanating from the living room and discovers the teddy bear on the floor. He joyfully retrieves it and returns to his bed, so they can sleep together.

The teddy bear is not a toy, though!

3D PRINTED GLOVE

Main topic of my thesis was the 3d printing on the fashion industry with main objectives exploring the applications of 3d printing on fashion, identifying the resulting features and limitations and proposing a solution that will contribute to the further exploitation of 3d printing in the fashion industry. Regarding the solution, a fashion accessory, a glove, was created by 3d printing. After a research of the technologies and experimental studies of them on samples, was selected the DLP printing method using the FLEX resin material, so the product to be thin and flexible. The design of the glove was created on Creo Parametric after first scanning my hand to take the exact measurements of it, so as the 3d printed glove to fit exactly on my hand.

The glove was designed up to the hand model that was inserted on the Creo program and then isolated, to be transformed to a solid surface. After the proper process of design's glove to be compatible with the 3d printer, the resin was inserted on it so to start the printing. The printing process lasted about 6 hours.

The post process is essential for 3d printing in the fashion industry, so some samples were created on the 3d product based on the textile. Fur,  and swarovski crystals were tested as possible options.
